Direct bus connections between Roma and Sorrento are active all year round. They are daily and are carried out by the Marozzi and Flixbus companies. Marozzi line is not active on January 1st and December 25th.
The journey lasts just over 4 hours, but the duration can obviously vary depending on traffic, the day of the week and the departure time.
Bus trips to Sorrento depart from Roma Tiburtina station, but Flixbus buses also make other stops in different areas of the capital: Anagnina, Roma Termini, Vatican, Piazza Indipendenza, Aurelia. In Sorrento, the arrival and departure stop is located at 259 Corso Italia.
The ticket price varies depending on the company: the journey with Marozzi line costs 22 euros one way, with a discount on return tickets. The Flixbus from Rome to Sorrento has a variable cost (between approximately 20 and 50 euros) depending on the departure time and the advance payment with which you book.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the Rome Tiburtina station. It is also possible to buy the bus ticket from Rome to Sorrento in some travel agencies and, as regards the Flixbus, in authorized sales points such as newsagents and tobacconists or directly on board.
