Great stay at the Hotel Gardenia

We stayed here for 5 nights as 2 couples. We loved our stay here. It was central enough that everything was within a 30 minute walking distance. We did have to take a few taxis but mostly walked everywhere. A laundromat is less than a 5 minute walk away, so we did our laundry. We walked into old Sorrento for suppers and found the location to be perfect. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beds were decently comfortable, the small balcony was great, and the pool and pool area was fabulous. We also found the breakfast to be great as well. If you’re using Sorrento as a base, this hotel is good value for the money for sure.

Beautiful modern hotel we were there for 7 days bed and breakfast the breakfast buffet had an amazing selection of fresh food the staff are so pleasant nothing is to much trouble we had an evening meal and it's the best ceaser salad I've had as its my favourite the hotel is spotlessly clean you could eat of the floor we had a lovely stay

Friendly and cute boutique hotel

Choosing a hotel is always hard when going to a country you’re unfamiliar. Previous reviews helped us settle on Hotel Gardenia. My husband and I were really happy with our choice. It’s a small boutique hotel with very friendly workers. Most you see multiple times during our stay. All of them always greeted us. Most notably Tiziana, our server at the restaurant. She was so happy and we had great conversations with her. She helped us choose appetizers and drinks. We never felt rushed. Food was wonderful. The hotel is lucky to have her. We had a view of the bay and the balcony was great. The view from the rooftop is amazing!! It’s a short walk to the old town center. It’s a short walk from the train station. Streets are very narrow and all cobblestone. Moving luggage is more difficult but not horrible if you walk from the train station. Rooms are a good size. My only item I wish is that the room had a coffee maker. Otherwise, I would stay here again.

The Hotel Gardenia is located on Corso Italia in Sorrento, near the center with its restaurants and shops and the Circumvesuviana train station with routes running between Sorrento and Naples, Pompeii, and Herculaneum. Near the station, there are also buses which depart for the Amalfi Coast or there are ferries for Capri which depart from the port, just a few minutes from the hotel.
