We visited a variety of towns up and down the Amalfi coast, Sorrento was our favourite in a large part due to this hotel. The hotel is just off the main square in a side street. It is very easy to find, when you get off the ferry go to the right through the carpark to the lifts. Then leave the park go to your left. It's about a 10 minute walk. The lift is 1.20 euro pp and only take cash. The hotel itself was beautiful, big room with beautiful decor. A lovely room on the first floor for reading and a terrace. The roof terrace pool is perfect, small with some deck chairs. The bar opens at 1pm. The staff could not do enough, they were fantastic. Pepe by the pool was a real highlight, an absolute treasure, and he makes the best Hugo Spritz. He's also a great photographer of u need a photo. We booked several fancy restaurants for our stay but there was no need, there are plenty of beautiful ones nearby anywhere that I eat is stunning. Make sure u spend an evening in the square just beside the hotel. There is an open bar at the center that has live music and is a wonderful buzz.

We stayed here for 6 nights in July as a couple in their late 20s. Overall it was a very positive experience and we would stay here again. Positives: The location is very central in Sorrento, close to the main square and only a short walk to the beach. Lots of nearby restaurant options. Would recommend Dante cocktail bar about 50m from the hotel. The pool area was not too busy. All guests got a sun lounger and there was never any issues on this front. The pool was lovely and refreshing and there was a good selection of food and drink available at the pool bar at costs similar to Sorrento town. The pool bar man was excellent - such a lovely man and always made sure guests had a comfortable visit. The bed in our room was very comfortable and large (at least king size possibly super king). Things that weren’t quite right for us: The breakfast was a bit sparse. Perhaps as Brits we are used to more options but it was a very European breakfast with mostly bread, meats, cheeses and pastries. There were some eggs and beans but not an excellent cooked selection. The rooms were not very sound proof. We could hear people on the phone or talking in the corridor when they returned at night, and our neighbour spent a few nights vomiting which we could hear quite well.

This hotel was excellent value for money set in the heart of Sorrento. It was a short distance from the bars, restaurants and the ferry to Amalfi, Positano, and Capri. The rooms were a decent size with a good comfy bed and plenty of storage and a safe. A shower over the bath with plenty of hot water and toiletries too. A fridge which we used for storing our water bottles and beer and a decent selection of tv channels to watch should you want to. The aircon was also very good which was definitely needed!! All in all a good solid bedroom and bathroom which was perfect for our 5 nights. The only thing we would’ve liked was a kettle or tea/coffee facilities… The hotel itself was in very good order with a nice marble entrance and again good aircon for those very warm days and the desk staff were always very willing to help in any way possible. They even did us a take away breakfast bag on the last day as we had to leave early so would miss our last breakfast.. really kind and thoughtful of them. Breakfast itself was ok, plenty to eat with pastries, fruit, yoghurts, toast, scrambled eggs etc… the usual continental options.. sometimes the waitress was a little abrupt but nothing too much, just a little sharp. We had to book a time for breakfast as it wasn’t the biggest area but it did a job and nothing to overly complain about. It could be better though for sure. They had a roof top terrace and bar that has super stunning views over the bay, and whilst that was lovely, the service and drinks from Pepe made it all the better.. he truly deserves some credit for the way he works up there. Always smiling and making fab drinks along with the great snacks he does, he’s a real credit to the hotel. I’d definitely stay here again if I came back to Sorrento.
