Contemporary Elegance

Stuccoed ceilings and glossy marble floors: the rooms and halls at Palazzo Starace are elegant and tasteful, with an attention to detailed aimed at making your stay in Sorrento extra-special. Touches of red and blue decor are paired with more classic tones for an interesting aesthetic, bathrooms are spacious and include a glass shower cabin, and Superior Rooms also boast views over Piazza Tasso.

The international breakfast is served in the B&B's first floor kitchen. This historic palazzo does not have an elevator, but staff is always happy to help carry up bags.

An Apartment in the Center

Palazzo Starace also offers an independed apartment just meters from the B&B looking over Corso Italia and Piazza Tasso. The apartment, perfect for a longer vacation or a stay with family, has a double room, a complete kitchen, a bathroom with washing machine, and a living room with a sleeper sofa.

Hugely useful location (don't ignore the back street for access in and out when you're tired of the hubbub of the main road - quiet and quick!). Close to Iamme Ia, which has tons of truly excellent guided tours; near Bar Ercolano, a delightful spot for relaxed refreshment while people watching (and maybe keeping one eye on Gli Azzurri, if a match is on). The staff at Palazzo Starace are attentive and responsive, providing a warm welcome. We received a WhatsApp message with loads of really good local recommendations within minutes of settling in our room. I see some reviews saying the rooms are basic - yes, but very comfortable, and they are kept immaculately clean. The complimentary bottles of water left in the room every day were appreciated. But let's not sleep on the real star of the show. It's breakfast, starring these delightful staff members and an array of delicious local tomatoes, cucumbers, gorgeous cheeses... YES, North Americans, you can get your scrambled eggs here. They'll make a delicious espresso or cappuccino for you on the spot (you will NOT regret it). A delight. Cannot wait to return!

Great location, absolutely lovely staff, breakfast was really yummy, rooms were cleaned daily, love the WhatsApp communication as made it quick and easy to sort anything out. Our stay was amazing and a home from home.

Booked this B&B for its location and it was perfect, close to all the action right out the door. The staff was friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great but they start later than convenient if you are taking day trips that pick you up early in the morning, which I found odd. But the main thing you should know is because it is right in the middle of town, on weekends the noise level at night is loud and often goes to 4 am (!) so if a quiet place is your desire, think twice about this one or bring your earplugs. While we liked the premises and staff we would not stay there again due to the noise.
