Great views

Excellent location, great value/money. The place is a former cement plant transformed into a 4 star hotel. This place has different type of rooms: we selected: sea view with superb views over the Naples bay and Vesuvius. Room was clean and comfy, bathroom a bit outdated…with bathtub…breakfast was excellent for Italian standards, but the coffee was not..

There is NOTHING nearby. If you don’t get a taxi into town, you must eat at the restaurant. We had a beef dish that was very rare—despite the server asking me 3 times how I wanted it and I said WELL. It was also tough and expensive. Our bathroom had a tub that was VERY high and dangerous getting in and out. They only give you one pillow and they use little bottles of shampoo etc—and the writing is so light you can’t read what’s in it. And despite asking them not to make a wake-up call, they did anyway. Good things: Makeup mirror and the fact that when you hang up your towels, they do let you reuse them.

Don’t book between Sept-April

Don’t book in April. No shuttles, no excursions, no pool, no pizza and no gelato. Whatever I asked I was faced with a barrage of ‘No’s. Could have made it clearer on their website. 45 minute walk to nearest train station,an hour walk from literally any town/restaurant/pharmacy. Probably only good this is the bar staff were the loveliest and can’t fault them.

I am currently staying at the Towers Hotel. My wife and I arrived on Monday 24th March and leave on 31st. I have just read the general review (AI generated) and would concur with it's conclusion. The hotel is, clean, rooms comfortable, bedroom view of Vesuvius, spectacular when the cloud has gone, (not today) but on most other points it disappoints. Wardrobe space for a weeks stay, is very limited, we had to request hangers, there were only 4 on a rail 4 feet wide, original, they found us 6. I had more shirts for the week than that, what was my wife to do? Without a car, it's currently €25 by taxi to either of the nearest rail stations or towns so add €50 to the cost of a meal or your in the budget. The current hotel menu is limited to 4 each of starter, main, 2nd main and desert and hasn't changed all week. Like wise the breakfast choices are unchanged from day to day. Now I appreciate this is still probably an off season review, but I do think they should up their game. I notice that the courtesy bus, mentioned in other reviews, has not been offered by staff on reception, when we requested transfer to the station or town. Has it ceased completely or will return for the summer? Staff are generally cheerful and helpful, though language skills could be better. There are some inconsistencies with housekeeping, replacement of tea/coffee/creamer etc. Change of towels and linen doesn't always align with their environmental guidance. Would we come again, to the region yes, to this hotel, I must admit unlikely.
