Towers Hotel Stabiae Sorrento Coast

The hotel was fine. Rooms were clean. Pool area was nice although when we were there, it was overcome by seagulls and everything that goes along with it. It was disappointing that there was not a shuttle available to go from the hotel into Sorrento. Taxi would’ve cost €150. The breakfast buffet while tasty and I would say was about average maybe slightly below others where we stayed on our journey. Getting into the tub/shower requires one to be an Olympic hurdler, at least in the room that we had. I believe some rooms have walk-in showers, but ours did not.

I strongly advise against a 4-star hotel in 2026 that does not have a hair dryer available; my wife was left with wet hair after asking for help at the reception, and after 1 hour the problem was not resolved, at least they sent someone who could verify the non-functioning of the room's hair dryer, even though I sent complaint emails to the management and administration and no one even deigned to respond or apologize for what happened

On checking in, the clerk was unpleasant, the room was arctic cold but we were told on arrival that only the front desk can control room temperature. We requested wash cloths and were told no they do not provide them.. breakfast was always wonderful. Dinner, however, was just truly a 0 to 1 star. For example we ordered carpaccio and they gave us a plate of sliced roast beef! The Spa was a wonderful experience. We highly recommended it. The TV didn’t work either and the staff was truly incapable

Towers Hotel — Room 352, Block Opposite Reception, 3rd Floor I stayed in Room 352, on the third floor of the block opposite reception. The window overlooks the busy coastal road, but it is well double-glazed so noise wasn’t an issue. Room size was good with a large single bed, good lighting and air-con which was quiet. There’s an internal door to the bedroom which is useful as a sound barrier. Good mirrors in both bedroom and bathroom, hairdryer, and it was handy to have a fridge in the room for water etc, plus kettle and tea/coffee facilities. I didn’t use the safe or TV so can’t comment on those. A couple of small niggles — very few hangers in the wardrobe area, the deep bath was hard to get in and out of with no bath mat inside, and the light over the bed wasn’t working. Shower attachments were old fittings and a bit fiddly. Bidet in the bathroom. The hotel was busy due to a conference, but reception staff were friendly and helpful. Bar staff also friendly. Nice choice of cocktails, wine etc, with free crisps and nuts. Bar menu was quite minimal. Pool and garden areas are attractive, and the small beach area is pleasant — sunbeds and towels provided free. Pool wasn’t heated in September. Breakfast was OK — usual selection of hot and cold buffet items, lots of sweet cakes and pastries, breads, fruit, cereal and savoury hot/cold items. Gluten-free was catered for when asked. The on-site restaurant has a good choice of food, but service and atmosphere were not great at the time of our visit, with limited options for dietary restrictions. The best part is the location for the views — beautiful sunsets over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The hotel is some distance from Sorrento and the nearest town, but they lay on a shuttle bus to Vico Equense (which has a good choice of restaurants and shops) and to the station on the Naples to Sorrento line. The train to Pompeii took approx 50 mins and was very busy but highly recommend a day here if you can go. In the opposite direction to Sorrento, end of the line, it took approx 15 mins — Sorrento is a good option for a day out. You have to time the minibus and pre-book, although we were able to book via WhatsApp on the day which was handy. Shuttle cost €3 each way per person. Overall, comfortable and well-equipped for a short stay with lovely outdoor areas and those sunset views.
