Rooms for All Budgets

With 50 rooms including doubles, triples, quadruples, and dorms, the Ulisse suits every kind of traveller. All rooms are comfortable and spacious, functionally furnished, with private bathrooms, sand-colored floors and a bathtub.

Air conditioning, minibar, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen satellite TV come standard. A cot can be added on request in standard and family rooms. The Family room has two separate sleeping areas, each with its own door and bathroom. Dorm rooms, split by gender, sleep up to six guests and have a bathroom with a tub.

Each morning, a buffet breakfast with sweet and savory options is served in the Le Sirene dining room.

Spa and fitness center: at the Ulisse, guests don't have to give up any amenities! A 2,500-square-meter wellness area spread over four floors, with a thermal pool, hydromassage, chromotherapy, a steam cave, a Finnish sauna and an ice cave. The fitness center offers Technogym equipment, yoga and spinning classes, plus an indoor pool for free swimming.

All the most traditional dishes from Sorrento and southern Italy are served at the Ristorante dell'Ulisse. In the large professional kitchen, chef-led cooking classes reveal the secrets of the region's best recipes, sampled together at the end.

Loved every minute! Delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, lovely room, perfect location. Very close to self service laundry, Marina Grande, restaurants, shops, etc. Very friendly staff.

Disappointing Stay Despite a Great Location

The hotel’s location is good, the rooms are spacious, and the cleanliness is generally very good. However, we experienced several issues during our stay. The most significant was the noise starting at around 6 a.m., which was extremely disruptive. It seemed that some kind of renovation work was taking place, although we are not sure whether it was inside the hotel or nearby. Between 6 and 9 a.m., we could barely sleep. When we raised the issue with reception, they were unable to offer a solution: neither a room change nor any alternative or compensation was provided. Overall, we did not feel that the staff was particularly attentive or willing to resolve the problem, although we only interacted with one member of the hotel team. The hotel also clearly shows its age, and some areas would benefit from renovation. For example, water accumulated in the bathroom because the drain seemed to be partially blocked and took a long time to clear. Another disappointing aspect was that we chose the hotel because it offered a gym and a swimming pool, but the pool was closed, even though it should normally have been open. We were not given a clear explanation, nor were we informed in advance. The gym, meanwhile, was very small and, like the spa and massages, required an additional fee. We were also unable to check the prices beforehand. We had understood that access to the swimming pool, gym and spa was included, and this was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Overall, the experience was not what we expected.

The hostel is very well located, comfortable, clean, functional, and the view from the terraces is just incredible. The staff is pleasant, special mention for Mario who is really a very good person!! A little disappointed by the use of only the application for certain requests and things when it would be enough to communicate at certain times! Breakfast is good. I am just leaving a small comment for the person at the front desk in the morning; I don't necessarily speak English very well, and being in a youth hostel, I think she must see a lot of people, travelers, and young people at that. I just find her way of being, which is not very pleasant and which makes no effort to see that I don't understand everything, a shame. I found myself without breakfast the next morning because I had forgotten to order on the application a day before... I especially hadn't necessarily understood, what's more, the application is only in English. The hostel really wasn't full and it was a request at 7 a.m. before going for a run, so there was time to prepare... anyway, she apologized in the end, just a shame. That was just an aside, I highly recommend this place!
