You don’t have enough stars for me to accurately rate this hotel. Maria, along with all of the staff were simply outstanding. The receptionists were extremely accommodating in assisting us with dinner reservations and most helpful in answering our questions about the area. Views from the villa were just incredible while we still were conveniently located to other desired sights. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated and the breakfast buffet was something very special. We looked forward to Maria’s homemade cakes and pastries every morning. Amazing! What sets this place apart from others is the personal touch that is given. Maria and staff truly want each guest to feel welcomed and to leave feeling that Sorrento is their home away from home. We certainly feel connected and can’t say enough about this place…it was hard to leave.

Everything was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the view of the Bay of Naples was breathtaking. The breakfast was hands down the best I have ever had in my travels.

My mum and I picked Villa Oriana after seeing pictures online and thought we would treat ourselves as it looked amazing! Wow we were not disappointed! The welcome we got when arriving at 8pm was so kind and caring from Marcia! She then gave us the most delicious home cooked cake and lemonade made by Maria, the owner. It was just what we needed after travelling the whole day to get there from the Cinque Terre. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The view was amazing looking over the ocean. The room we shared was gorgeous and we even had two bathrooms a couch and private courtyard. The breakfast was out of this world. Maria and her sister bake cakes and Quiche every morning fresh! They put their heart and souls into running this place. We loved talking to Maria about her life. The rooftop plunge pool and area was also gorgeous to relax after a busy day. Nothing was too much for staff to help with. A special shout out to Marcia who was amazing and so professional with exceptional English. And kindly Maria is happy to share her beautiful recipes for guests to try-though I’m sure if I do it won’t be anywhere near her standard. Would love to visit again one day. Thus was a highlight for us!!! 🩷

A wonderful retreat

Such a special place and a real highlight of our tour round Italy. We received a warm welcome and we were made to feel really special. The breakfast dishes were delicious, sweet and savoury homemade treats, still warm from the oven. The local mozzarella and tomatoes were just perfect! The hotel is a little way from the centre of Sorrento but has the benefit of the most amazing view over the town and the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius beyond. The local hotel shuttle bus gave us easy access to Sorrento. The sun terrace and small pool gave us a welcome retreat. We would definitely recommend Villa Oriana!

Villa Oriana is a charming relais nestled within a beautifully scented citrus grove on the immediate outskirts of Sorrento.
The guest house lies just 5 minutes away from the picturesque historic center of Sorrento and, from the height of its hillside position, enjoys magnificent views of the entire Bay of Naples.

Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Herculaneum, Pompei, Mount Vesuvius, Naples: all of the most interesting sites in the Campania region are less than an hour's drive away from the relais.
From Sorrento, ferries and hydrofoils depart to the nearby islands of Capri and Ischia. Lovers of the sea will want to spend time on the beaches of the Marine Reserve of Punta Campanella.
