- Transport by minibus to the Vesuvius parking lot, located 1,000 meters (3,280 ft) above sea level
- Continue on foot to the Gran Cono ticket office (about 20 minutes uphill)
- Visit the crater with an expert alpine-volcanology guide from Vesuvius National Park (entry ticket included: (€ 11, 68 p.p.))
- Lunch break in a pizzeria on the slopes of the volcano (margherita or marinara pizza and soft drink)
- Transport to Pompeii
- Skip-the-line tour of Pompeii archeological park (approximately 2 hours) with an authorized archaeological guide (entry ticket included)
- Return by minibus to the departure point

During the low season (November to March), the Pompeii excavations are visited in the morning, followed by a visit to Mount Vesuvius in the afternoon. During the high season (April to October), the tour schedule is reversed.

Alessia was such a fun and welcoming guide and Salvatore drove safely and at a nice speed. The day was absolutely wonderful, we got sun in Pompei and learn a lot with our guide Antonio! Then we reached the top of the Vesuvio and we got snow! It was really a perfect day ❤️

It’s rather quiet here in winter. Despite theres only me and my mom for the day trip on the day, Nello companied us all along and recommended a great route for us to walk around in our free time. The boat rides were fantastic, really couldn’t think of a better way to learn about the island in a short frame of time!

All was worth it, but due to sea level or other business reasons the Blue Grotto was closed. And souvenir stores closed on the island as well.

Gaetano was really helpful and we had a great time on the trip. He made sure to take us to some great vantage points for photos. He explained the history behind everything really well and made the experience super fun and easy.
