Our family of 4 (my wife and I and our two daughters, aged 12 and 10) stayed here for 6 nights in April 2026. This was our second stay at Antico Casale - with the welcoming, warm and talented famiglia Persico and staff. We are not ones to go to the same place more than once (we usually like to go to and experience different places) but for Antico Casale we made an exception, and we are already planning our third visit! I will tell you some of the reasons why…. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable (particularly the beds, which is so important) with spectacular views over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. The whole property is beautifully kept and a slice of nature and tranquility, whilst being a great hub to visit the surrounding areas (which can, for us at least, be, at times, overwhelmingly busy). The centres of Sorrento and Positano are, for example, within 30 minutes in either direction. It is a pleasure for these places to be so accessible, but equally to come “home” to the peace of Antico Casale at the end of a day out. In the summer, but not during our most recent visit, (in Spring/April) there is a great swimming pool, which is literally the other side of the road. Most of all, however, the words that we would use to describe Antico Casale are “real”, “authentic” and a “treasure”. Antico Casale is the antithesis of a ‘tourist trap’. The aspects of Antico Casale that most strongly demonstrate this point are the food (and wine!) and service. Oh my god! The food is exceptional!! Almost all of the produce (including olive oil, cheese, vegetables, eggs, pork, salami, prosciutto and wine) is grown and reared on site, and the dishes which are produced by the talented chef and kitchen staff are truly delicious. As a a family, we love our food and have eaten in many a great place but the phrase ‘that is the best … I have ever had’ (the best risotto, the best pasta dish, the best rib of pork, the best steak, the best strawberries) was used more than once. Don’t be deceived by the reasonable prices, the food and drink are better than anything we experienced in the surrounding area (that includes premium restaurants in places like Positano and Capri). We ate lunch here on the Sunday after Easter (Ottava Di Pasqua) and apart from us the restaurant was full of Italians (as they always say, if locals - perhaps most especially Italians - chose to eat in a restaurant then it must be good). If you are a ‘foodie’ Antico Casale is a place for you. The breakfast if you are staying is also, while not the huge selection you would find in a big hotel, very good (homemade marmalade, mmmmmm…). So far as the service is concerned, you will enjoy the warm welcome, hospitality and knowledge of Salvatore, Mario, Angelo, their mother and staff. Our day trips were made much easier and successful as a result of their reliable and clear advice (chat GBT would be no substitute). We must also make a special mention of Guiseppe who looked after us so attentively in the restaurant during our stay and with whom we enjoyed talking so much. Finally, to put this review in context - we do not normally write reviews! We usually can’t be bothered, for better or worse. However, Antico Casale deserves it. We feel privileged to have been lucky enough to have found Antico Casale.

I stayed at this farm for lunch, nestled in the hills in a well-kept garden. Strong points: pleasant place for families and for children to play, zero kilometer vegetables and quality food. Sore notes the slowness of the service and the output of the dishes (I add, however, that it was on a Sunday and was full), the staff a little 'lacking and the fact that the prices are not really "cheap" for a farm. Overall, however, it is worth it.
