Farm Experience: Tour, Dinner, and Wine Tasting

This past weekend we celebrated our daughter’s wedding in Piano di Sorrento, Italy, which included our group of 45 people enjoying the hospitality, friendship and food of the Persico family that run Antico Casale Colli San Pietro. Everything was fabulous as is always the case when we join Nonna Luisa and her three sons and family at their beautiful Agriturismo. We were blessed to stay on the property, taking up all of their guest rooms, enjoying the creation of chef Annamaria, over looking the Gulf of Naples. The night of the wedding we were treated to the most delicious food and wine, cared for by an incredible staff which include most of the Persico family. We are so very grateful for an experience we will never forget. We look forward to our next visit!

I stayed at this farm for lunch, nestled in the hills in a well-kept garden. Strong points: pleasant place for families and for children to play, zero kilometer vegetables and quality food. Sore notes the slowness of the service and the output of the dishes (I add, however, that it was on a Sunday and was full), the staff a little 'lacking and the fact that the prices are not really "cheap" for a farm. Overall, however, it is worth it.
