Embark on a private excursion to discover the ancient ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, followed by a visit to the majestic Mount Vesuvius. Your tour includes a knowledgeable private driver and the opportunity to explore the vineyards on the slopes of the volcano, where you can taste wines from over a thousand years of volcanic vineyard history.
Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring a selection of local delicacies, including a platter of cured meats and cheeses, local jams, honey, and bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil, accompanied by grilled vegetables. The first course will be traditional spaghetti with Pomodoro del Piennolo, a characteristic tomato variety from Mount Vesuvius, followed by meatballs in tomato sauce as the main dish. The tour of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius lasts an entire day (around 8 hours) departing from Sorrento, Positano or any other village on the Amalfi Coast. Transfers are by sedan or minivan based on the number of passengers. We can also include a stop at a local farm at the foot of Mount Vesuvius to sample some of the local specialties, and at the end of the tour you will receive a bottle of Limoncello di Sorrento as a gift.

An Amalfi day

Today my wife and I spent the day with Leo, a private driver for Top Excursions Sorrento. We did an eight hour tour of the Amalfi Coast, with stops in Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello.
We left at nine AM. (as with both our experiences with Top Excursions Sorrento - the driver was right on time.) Leo was personable, very informative, helpful with suggestions as to where we might eat, what we might do or look for. All three towns bloomed under his informative suggestions.
More importantly, Leo was a consummate professional in every way; his diving was Monte Carlo capable, his conversation was friendly without being intrusive, his knowledge of the area was deep punctuated by good nuggets of what to try, where to go, and what to look for.
We were in Sorrento on honeymoon, having married a year ago, but only now making the trip. Top Excursions Sorrento, and Leo made the trip what we hoped for when we planned it.
Smooth Private Transfer

Booked directly with the operator via its website. Got immediate confirmation and the payment receipt. Giovanni, the owner, communicated promptly and efficiently, providing his contact info, the photo of the meeting point and directions to it. The night before transfer received the name and a contact info of the driver. The driver, Roberto, was extremely courteous, attentive, and gave us a lot of useful info during 1,5 hour drive from Naples to Positano. It was a smooth and pleasant transfer. Strongly recommend.

We had an amazing experience with Manuel on our trip from Sorrento to Amalfi and Positano! He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and made our journey truly memorable.
Along the way, Manuel shared fascinating history and interesting stories about the beautiful Amalfi Coast. One of the highlights was when he stopped at a scenic viewpoint overlooking breathtaking Positano and took wonderful pictures of us with the stunning coastline in the background.
His excellent driving skills made us feel safe and comfortable along the winding coastal roads. His warmth, patience, and thoughtful gestures made the experience even more special.
