You have to pay an extra €15 person when you arrive for tourist tax in Capri. Blue grotto we waited about 30mins to get in €19 per person, the boat man kept saying we expect €10 per person tip, we just got straight off the boat afterwards and didn't tip as I thought paying €19 was enough, you can pay by card 3 hours on Capri, we took the bus to the chair lift, it takes two buses and was €19 for return bus tickets for two people. The chair lift was €30 for two Then you stop off on the way back to swim in the sea. Federica was a great host

LUCIO AND MASSIMO made the trip amazing. They were professional and attentive and anticipated to every need. Everything that was advertised in the tour was provided. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND THIS SMALL GROUP BOAT TOUR TO CAPRI!! It was better than we expected. Plan to meet them in the marina - they will move you to restaurant for a coffee while you wait for your groups to be formed. We booked online directly with them and would highly recommend this method to avoid the add on costs from the other companies. Same tour and lower price. We absolutely LOVED our guides!!! Luege & Roberto were so fun!!! Good duo and they kept the 8 person group laughing and answered all our questions. Good combination of laughs, history, and questions! We went to Capri via the Marina Piccola - which was amazing because it was the higher end and way less busy side. So we did 1 hour boat ride from Sorrento to this Marina & then 20 euro taxi to the city center. Spent about 3 hours on the island. Luege gave lots of activity recommendations and restaurant recommendations! Ask them anything and they will help or answer! We boarded back on the boat. We were told possibly the Blue Grotto wouldn’t be open that’s why we went to the island first. There was a notice it was not open until 10AM or after. We got back on the boat and were SHOCKED!!! It was open and we waited about 45 minutes to go in but they were helpful in letting us know updates and the process. Then from there they took us to a good snorkeling area and we swam for about 1-1.5 hours! PERFECT DAY! Exceeded our expectations and my husband and I truly believe it was because of our guides. They made it’s truly Good to GREAT!!! If you get to ask for a guide I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND - LUEGE & ROBERTO!!!!

The grotto closes for safety when waves are high or winds are strong, and conditions can shift throughout the day, causing multiple openings and closures. The grotto entrance fee is not included in the tour price.

What happens if there's bad weather on the day of the tour?

If weather conditions prevent safe navigation, the tour is canceled, and you receive a full refund. Cancellation decisions are communicated on the morning of the tour or, when possible, the evening before. If only the Blue Grotto is closed, but the tour can proceed safely, the full island circuit continues with all other planned activities. You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure.

How does cancellation work and what are the conditions?

You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time and receive a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable. If MBS Blu Charter cancels the tour due to weather or technical issues, you receive an automatic full refund.

Is there a toilet on board during the tour?

Yes, the boat has onboard restrooms available to all passengers throughout the tour. A freshwater shower is also available for rinsing off after swimming in the sea.

Where is the meeting point and how do I get there?

The meeting point is at Porto di Marina Piccola in Sorrento, in the small square between La Scogliera Kitchen & Bar (Leonelli bar) and Ruccio restaurant at Via Marina Piccola 2. An MBS team member wearing a logo shirt will be waiting for you. From Sorrento's town center, the port is about 15 minutes on foot; alternatively, you can use the local bus or a taxi.

Are there any swimming stops during the tour?

Yes, the tour includes stops for swimming in the most scenic coves around Capri. Snorkeling masks and a freshwater shower for rinsing off are provided on board. Remember to bring your beach towel.

Is it possible to bring pets on board the boat?

We are sorry, but pets are not allowed on board during group boat tours, only on private tours.

How much free time we will have to visit Capri?

For a land-based visit of Capri, you can expect around 3 hours. The time may increase or decrease depending on the season: during the summer months, we dedicate more time to touring the island, with stops for swimming in the most beautiful coves. When the water is too cold for swimming, there is more free-time available for a land-based visit of Capri.
