Worst Charter

This charter was sketchy from the very beginning. The manager, Ester, wanted the cash immediately and demanded full payment before the boat even arrived. She stood over me, staring while I counted the money, until the boat finally showed up after 10 AM, even though we were told to meet at 9:15. The crew showed a total lack of preparation. They operated like rookies, not a professional charter company charging €3,450. For 13 people, they provided only two swimming noodles and still told us to swim at the Green Grotto while dozens of motorboats were whipping around us. It was chaotic and unsafe. One bathroom was clogged from the start. The “open bar” was just a cooler with drinks tossed in last minute, and we were initially told wine and prosecco weren’t included. No fresh snacks as promised, only dry packaged ones. The staff didn’t seem to know what was actually part of the charter. For €3,450, this was nowhere near a professional experience. I would not recommend Charter Systems Sorrento to my worst enemy.

My husband and I booked a private day tour of the Amalfi coast and Capri island and we had an amazing time! 10/10 experience, would highly recommend and will book again! Captain Tony took great care of us, making the day so easy with the pick up spot, booking us lunch on Capri, and the endless photo opportunities! Special shout out to Tony’s grandma’s delicious limoncello!

Great trip. Took adult children on a tour (group 6 total) on the tour with Fabrizio, and he was amazing host. He took us exactly to the places we wanted to see and dropped us to shop in Capri for a couple of hours and plenty of Limoncello spritz on the boat! Excellent.

Amazing Private Experience!

An unforgettable luxury experience in Capri. From the moment we stepped on board, everything felt exclusive and perfectly organized. The yacht was stunning, elegant, and extremely comfortable, with top-level service throughout the entire day. Cruising around Capri was simply magical — swimming in the turquoise water, seeing the famous Faraglioni up close, relaxing with a glass of Prosecco on board, and enjoying the breathtaking coastline in total privacy. The crew made us feel truly special and took care of every detail with professionalism and kindness. If you want to experience Capri in the most luxurious and unforgettable way possible, this private yacht tour is absolutely worth it. A perfect day we will never forget.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

How far in advance can I cancel without penalties?

Free cancellation is available up to 7 full days before the scheduled start time of the service (local time). After this deadline, a 100% payment of the cost of the service is required.

Can I visit the Blue Grotto on this tour?

The Blue Grotto is optional and not included in the tour price. Access isn't guaranteed because the grotto closes during rough seas or strong winds, conditions that can change throughout the day. During high season, waiting times to enter can exceed 2 hours due to the high number of visitors. If you want to visit, you'll need to pay the ticket at the entrance.

What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of rough seas or adverse weather conditions, the operator may decide to cancel or postpone the tour for safety reasons. You'll be contacted in advance and offered the option to move your booking to another available date or receive a full refund. Passenger safety is always the priority.

Is there a toilet on board?

Yes, all boats come with a bathroom and a changing cabin on board, though the exact amenities vary depending on which boat you select at booking. Either way, this sets them apart from more basic options like open gozzi or tenders, which typically have no onboard facilities.

How much time do you get ashore at Capri during the tour?

Time ashore is agreed with the skipper, so there is some flexibility. Landing at Marina Grande involves a fixed dock fee of €100 per boat. From there, the center of Capri is a 6-minute funicular ride or a 15-minute taxi ride, though in peak season, wait times can exceed an hour. With 2 hours ashore, you can reach the Piazzetta or have lunch at the port; for Anacapri or longer walks, 2 hours is not enough, and an overnight stay on the island is worth considering.

Where does the tour depart from?

Departure is available from four points: Capri (Marina Grande), Positano, Sorrento, and Massa Lubrense. You choose at booking. If you're leaving from Sorrento, there's a €20 embarkation fee per boat. As a general rule, picking the departure point closest to where you're staying means less time in transit and more time around the island.

Is this tour suitable for families with children?

The tour works well for families with children who are comfortable in open water for several hours. The boat has a bathroom, a changing cabin, and a covered area for shade and rest. Anyone prone to seasickness should check the weather and sea conditions before booking.

Are there swimming stops during the tour?

Yes, swimming stops are a core part of the experience. The boat anchors in some of the clearest coves along Capri's coastline, and towels and snorkeling gear are already on board, included in the price. The number and length of stops depend on sea conditions and your group's preferences. Since the boat is private, you can work it out with the skipper on the day.
