Great hotel, location, experience.

First class hotel, which made for a relaxing weeks holiday. It’s well located, just 5 minute easy walk to the town centre. Stunning sea views from our balcony, the room was spacious, well laid out and the bed very comfortable. The entire team of staff were excellent, attentive, friendly and on occasion humorous. We stayed half board as the hotel menu’s looked good - correct decision, the menu changed each night and the food was great, no need to trawl through the multitude of restaurants in the town. Highly recommend this hotel.

What a fantastic hotel! Our room was spacious very clean with a lovely balcony with sea views the bed linen was lovely I would’ve liked to take it home! Lots of lovely touches such as slippers, toiletries, comb, toothbrush & paste, sewing kit, shoe shine kit & shower cap. The staff were so friendly & helpful & the dinning room was lovely the food was plentiful & absolutely delicious we expected self service for breakfast & dinner but was pleasantly surprised that evening meal was table waiter service you were made to feel very special the waiters were fantastic really well trained. We would definitely recommend this hotel compared with other 4 star hotels we’ve stayed in this hotel was by far the best. Thank you De La Ville for a fantastic week in Sorento.

Disappointed given expectations

We picked this spot after reading reviews. We opted for a terrace sea view since we had never been to Sorrento. First of all we were on the 3rd floor and the street the hotel is located on is busy with buses and cars. While we could see the sea the terrace was unusable because of the noise. We were also a block away from the seafront. Our room was nice but we were definitely disappointed with the location. The bar downstairs is huge but lacks any atmosphere. Nothing going on - no vibe, no music. Bar staff were inattentive, we had to go up to get a drink while they stood around talking. Again disappointing. Breakfast was great - staff and food were top notch. The front desk staff were good as well. All things considered we paid a premium for this hotel and I do not think we got value for our money.

Wonderful Hotel

This hotel was magnificent! It was beautifully decorated, immaculate & our room was gorgeous with a view ! Wait till you see the bathroom! So beautiful! The food was great & so was location. Probably a 15 minute walk to the square! Shopping & restaurants are all there. Loved our stay! Thank you Grand De la ville!
