Left us, with no explanation. Use Il Timone instead

At 12:55 we were fortunate to get the 13:00 trip to the Grotta Dello Smeraldo. We were told it would be a 1 hour tour. The trip the the grotto was nice but not amazing as no tour information but still a nice trip. Upon arrival we were all dropped in one group but the others went through separately to us and we were stopped from entering, having to wait a further 10mins. We had the tour of the grotto which was all very nice and interesting but upon leaving the grotto we came outside to see our boat leaving with our group without us. Another tour company explained that they would be back in an hour, we felt stranded and unsure if they would return so accepted their offer to bring us back for a further €5 each. As it happened the return journey with Il Timone was more pleasant, the bout was nicer and the tour operator explained a lot of the scenery on the way back. When we arrived back at Amalifi we returned to the booking office. They were very rude and abrupt, they didn’t even give us a chance to explain. They immediately said ‘no refund’ before we started talking, accusing us of not waiting and that we left at 13:40 not 13:00. They obviously do not check on how many people they drop off or pick up. That alone raises safety concerns. Do not use, no details of the tour. No explanation that if they leave without you, you have to wait a further hour. Not nice people to deal with!

Great tour for the afternoon to the Emerald Grotto, said it would be 2 hours ended up being 3 which was better than feeling ripped off like in Capri. Well priced and well worth it. Highly recommended

Decent boat trip, worth the €12 was done as an additional part of a day trip to Sorrento, Posianto as we were ahead of time on the trip. 1 hour boat trip reasonable, for price offered.

Amalfi Coast tour

We booked the Vento de Levante tour using their online process. We were picked up in Amalfi and There were only 6 of us of the tour and it was great. Included a 2 hour stop in Positano and 2 swimming stops. The boat guide and captain were helpful in getting us on and off the boat - which can be tricky with the waves. It would have been more helpful to know which pier - we were initially told to wait at a different pier. Other than the initial issues I’d rate this 110%!

The main offices of Battellieri di Amalfi are located in the main port of Amalfi, but the ferries and fleet run between a number of towns on the Amalf Coast and Sorrentine Peninsula.
