Capri and Amalfi Coast: mini day cruise

This was one of highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast and I would highly recommend this particular operator. Their communications are excellent, our skipper (Simone) was great and the boat was very comfortable. Thanks!

We booked a private tour with Sunrise Sorrento to Capri and back, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew—especially our captain and deckhand Stefano—made us feel incredibly welcome. We were greeted with refreshments including water, juice, and snacks, and even provided with towels, which was a thoughtful surprise since I had brought my own from the hotel. The boat ride to Capri took about 40 minutes, and we were fortunate to have perfect weather, making for a smooth and enjoyable journey. Along the way, the captain took us to the Green Grotto and around the iconic Faraglioni di Capri, offering stunning photo opportunities. Although we passed by the Blue Grotto, tours weren’t operating that day due to high tides. Once we arrived in Capri, it was everything I had imagined and more. We spent the day exploring the island, and when we returned, the vessel was ready and waiting to take us back to the mainland. The crew was friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to friends and family—and I’ll definitely be booking with Sunrise Sorrento again on my next visit!

Our family of four did the four day, three night boat tour around the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. It was absolutely spectacular! Our captain, Roberto, was excellent, and could maneuver the 55 foot MeryRose with precision and grace!we had never been to the area, so he made suggestions for lunch and we always ended up with a seaside table with a breeze and view. Stefano, the second mate, was always helpful and cheerful! Our wine glasses were never dry and he was attentive to our needs. In the evening, the boat docked at a marina in Ischia, Seiano, and Amalfi and there was shore power so the air conditioning was very welcome in the August heat. The marinas were adjacent to quaint towns so we could stroll the streets and shop and get dinner. Roberto took us to unique swim spots such as the thermal springs in Ischia and some fords that we could swim in. Our children are teens and were eager to jump off some rocks at some of the sites. The breakfasts were delicious and they will cater to whatever your food preferences are.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in the boat! The boat was great and so were Roberto and Stefen. They made sure we were having fun and shared some interesting history about the Amalfi coast. I would highly recommend the boat and the captain/crew to anyone coming to Sorrento!
